This 2-year-old, 60-lb Bernadoodle boy is the total package — the perfect mix of playful energy and heart-melting affection. A true gentle giant, Dakota can go from zoomies and adventures to full-on cuddle mode in seconds… and yes, he absolutely thinks he’s a lap dog.

When Dakota first came into rescue, he hadn’t had much socialization. But with structure, guidance, and the incredible team at PetSuites Bloomingdale, he’s completely blossomed. Through doggy daycare and careful introductions, Dakota has learned how to properly interact and play — and now he does amazing with both people and other dogs!

After such a great structure was built for him as a base, a foster family has now taken over and he is living in their home with their two dogs and is doing fantastic!

• Walks well on leash, but still skittish of everyday common sounds while he is outside

Dakota is still polishing a few “big puppy” manners like jumping, but with a confident leader and a little consistency, he’s going to shine. This is a dog who wants to be great — and he will reward his person with unmatched loyalty, love, and companionship.
