Bluefin our “Bluetick Heeler” (Bluetick Coonhound/Australian Cattle Dog) mix is a petite little girl with a personality as colorful as her coat. She is friendly, affectionate, and has a heart as big as her voice. At only 37 lbs, She is well-behaved, house-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, & come. This 1 year old pup is ready for her forever home!! 

Thank to our good friend Morgan Elliott at @Free Paws Dog Lodging for fostering Bluefin for us!! We are now on the search for the perfect home for this special little girl. Bluefin was trained, loved and only given up due to her military owner being suddenly deployed overseas.  

Bluefin loves to be active and enjoys long walks, playing fetch, and running around in open spaces. A big backyard will be a must for this girl as she loves to RUN RUN RUN!! She's great with older children and gets along well with other dogs. Her favorite toys are tennis balls, rope toys and kongs, which she loves to chew on.

Bluefin has no known allergies, is up to date on all her vaccinations, and is already spayed and microchipped. She is crate trained and is used to sleeping in her crate. She is also accustomed to a routine, so maintaining a consistent schedule will help her adjust to her new environment more smoothly. 

She is a very sociable dog and thrives on human interaction. She can get a bit excited when new people or dogs come around, so keeping an eye on her jumping is beneficial. She doesn't always do the best on car rides but does better if she eats at least 30 minutes prior to departure and gets a breeze through the window.
