🎉 Happy Tails 🎉

Some-bunny is having the best life ever!!

Rescue is a team effort.  Our rescue friends, Danielle Faller (the surrender arranger and foster), Molly Ames (the previous owner’s initial contact), and Kelsey Nitchals (transport), worked together to bring in our golden boy, Wrigley, in September of 2023.

A friend of our rescue saw his picture and knew that he was their future Most Valuable Puppy (“MVP”).  It only took one meet and great at O’Brien’s Irish Pub for this Chicago Cubs loving family, Tony, Carey, and Olivia Zeithaml, to know they needed to draft this handsome boy.

Wrigley, named after Wrigley Field, texted his is previous foster, and we just HAD to share this heartwarming underdog success story.  “Miss Danielle…I love stealing small hangers and socks, going on car rides, playing with friends, dressing up for special occasions, and I absolutely love my sissy <3, Thank you for giving this sweet family to me.  They love me so much! ❤ Wrigley.”

Kiki

Today makes it official that our longest foster resident, Kiki is adopted 🩷

We took Kiki in back in June of 2023 as a breeder surrender - same breeder we got our Sashi from. They were actually sisters from the same litter. Except when we got Kiki she was already 10 months old and not trusting at all.

It’s been a long 9 months and we did not make a ton of progress with her, but we kept her safe until we could find her perfect home.

& we did! Thanks to Wendy for choosing our rescue and submitting the perfect application, we knew this was going to be an environment in which Kiki would excel in. We drove her home to St. Augustine last weekend and she has already made huge strides in trusting her family.

Fostering is not always fun and easy, Kiki was a tough one, but it was all worth it in the end.

Kayden

A Christmas Miracle for Kayden!

From the moment Jeannie Altman saw Kayden and his story she knew he was the one for her!

As a FB friend of Kayden's foster family long before Kayden came along, they have exchanged pleasantries for years through the common pages of various dog websites and watched each others' dogs and families change and grow. Jeannie and her family are offering their hearts and homes to little Kayden for the rest of his life. Kayden has a 9-yr old BMC brothe r waiting for him who lost his companion last year. Kayden is sure to brighten his days! Kayden's new name will be Nikko (Kayden) due to Jeannie's daughter having such a similar name of Kaylin.

One Week Later...

Nikko is doing great. Sorry I have not posted progress in a few days I have been very sick. He has been snuggled up at my side taking great care of me.

He loves his big brother and they get along and go everywhere together. They love car rides and running around in the back yard.
I am so proud of his progress and how far he has come in just 1 week. No accidents, no fighting, no food aggression. Just love and playing for this happy baby.
