Rusty is the happiest and sweetest guy, and just loves everyone he meets.  Rusty loves to play with other dogs, cats and kids, and of course his adult mom or dad.  He is listed as a 2-3 yr old Sheltie mix.  Rusty came to our rescue with a skin infection and a lot of hair loss from flea dermatitis.  He is currently on medication until all of his hair grows back and he is doing great.  Rusty is house trained and does not require to be in a crate.  Rusty would do great with a doggie buddy if his parents are going to be gone for long periods of time.  He really likes to have a friend hang out with him when his people are not around.  Rusty knows sit and paw, and he is learning his house manners when it comes to food.  This will be something that you will need to continue to work with him so he does not beg while you are eating.  He is doing very well with it.  Rusty only has one negative thing that we can say about him and that is when he gets super excited he can be vocal but that is easily corrected with not letting his energy escalate and a quick squirt of the water bottle (you actually only have to show him the bottle now), and that  has him running away and calming down.  This usually occurs when you are going to take him for a walk, but once he is out walking he is a great little guy and just loves to meet all kinds of new people and fur friends.
