Mia is a beautiful purebred German Shorthaired Pointer.  She is approx 15 months old and weighs 50lbs.  She comes spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is crate trained and housebroken. She has some basic training, and knows "sit" and "come".  Mia is a high energy dog and is accustomed to being heavily exercised daily.  Her previous owner ran 5 miles a day with her and she will thrive with an athletic family that will keep her engaged in a daily sport such as running, biking, or hiking. She is learning how to play a little frisbee and gets along well with other dogs. She is good with adults and kids, but due to her high energy drive and constant motion, would do better with older kids and medium to large dogs.  Her interaction with cats has not been noted yet, but GSP's  were bred to hunt, so she may have a high prey drive.  Working breeds need a job and Mia needs both physical and mental stimulation.  She is very food motivated, trainable, and extremely smart.  She is very obedient and eager to please. She also thinks she is much smaller than she is and tries to be a lap dog. Mia will only go to a family that is up to the challenge of helping her maintain the daily athleticism that is so inherent to her breed.
