Jake is a 50lb, 7year old Black Lab/Cattle Dog mix who is full of life & energy. He loves all people and gets excited to meet everyone. He greets you at the door with the nearest toy he can find. He lays his head in your lap and loves to be loved. Super sweet and gentle with kids. Has been in home with baby from newborn and has never shown any aggression in the 14 months. Jake actually follows and plays with the toddler now that he's walking. He's a great companion who loves to play outside with his family and go for runs. Commands he follows (especially well with treats) are: sit, lay down, over (lays on side), back up, come here, stay, paw, other paw (he'll switch paws back & forth!). He's a sweetheart. He used to live with a female Boxer and all they did was play and sleep. Sometimes it takes Jake a little while to get used to a new dog these days but he always comes around after a little direction. Slow introductions are a must for Jake. He has been around a cat indoors & he paid it no mind. Outside Jake like to chase all moving things, even squirrels in a tree.  All-in-all he is a beautiful family dog who just needs a stable forever family. Jake is a happy, healthy boy that is neutered and current on vaccinations.
