*COURTESY POST*

We are looking to find Honey Bear her forever home! She came into Hillsborough County Pet Resources on  January 2nd  as a stray, and was listed as extreme risk for getting her angel wings earlier than planned. A wonderful family decided to spring her out of doggy jail, and she already looks better after a bath, love, good food, and coconut oil.

  • Great with other dogs – we did use proper introductions for the pack
    • She did great in PRC’s puppy play group, and she has gotten along great with her foster brother and sisters
  • Gets along with cats!
  • Very People oriented
    • Likes to say Hello to everyone
    • We do not have children, however when she has been around them in public, she is gentle with them
  • Velcro Pooch
    • She wants to be by your side
    • She likes to hold hands
    • Loves to put her head on your lap
    • She loves Doritos! But don’t we all?
  • Well mannered, but will still need formal training
    • She has been in our office, to PetSmart, and to a restaurant that allows pups outside – each time she takes a field trip people comment on how well behaved she is
    • She can begin training in May 2017
  • Walks great on a leash
  • Crate trained
  • No Resource guarding witnessed
  • Housetrained

Age, Breed, and Health Considerations:

  • Estimated between 5 – 7 years old
  • Medium energy
  • American Stafford Terrier
  • Medium sized dog
    • 39lbs
    • Petite sized Pit
  • Spayed
  • UTD – Up to date on Shots
  • Has been treated for Heartworms, and will need to be low key until May 2017
  •  She is allergic to fleas, so must continue her monthly preventives

Our family is dedicated to helping her find the right fit, therefore we would ask for the following:

  • Home Check
  • Vet Check
  • Meet and Greet with your current family

If you think she is your fur baby, or if you need more information – please text Christina at 813.727.9959. Serious inquires only. Also, we will check everything before she goes anywhere, Honey Bear is special and deserves a great loving home.

If you are the right home – there is no rehoming fee! Plus, if you need it, we will provide her kennel, leash, collar, and harness.
