Scotty is a 3-4 month old, intelligent and playful pup that was found as a stray and turned into a high kill shelter. At such a young age, and at only 18 lbs, he will need basic obedience training, and is now learning house manners in his foster home.  He does well in a crate and is already potty trained. He is learning to walk on leash for the first time, as he thinks its a toy. Scotty is trying to learn to live with cats right now, but always wants to run and play with them in his foster home as there are no other pets to play with. With more exposure and training, Scotty may may be cat tolerant in the future, as he is quite intelligent.  He is currently being socialized with other dogs outside of the home to start feeling more comfortable.  Scotty is currently doing great with kids! His ideal home would be one where someone is home a lot and there is another dog that can show him what it's like to be happy and loved and part of a family. We anticipate that Scotty will be high-energy and will need a strong leader that will provide him with a busy and active life to keep his mind stimulated. Experience with herding and sporting dogs will be a plus. Scotty is currently in a foster home in Valrico. His adoption fee will be $300, which covers all current vaccinations, rabies, neuter and microchip, and you may apply for him online at www.4luckydogs.org.
