Wow! Someone is going to be very lucky when they adopt 6-yr old King!

King needs to be rehomed as his family will be moving out of country shortly. He is an energetic, active boy who appears younger than his 6 years of age. He has the best qualities of both the Husky and the German Shepherd. Aside from being stunning, he is super friendly and the Husky in him starts talking to you as soon as he meets you. Very vocal, he will circle round after the initial greeting and plant himself right by you...but don't stop petting him, as he is an attention hog! The German Shepherd in him is apparent as he is very intelligent and as you watch him, you can see his mind moving a mile a minute. He loves his master and loves having a job. King is a very smart dog and needs a home where he will be both mentally and physically stimulated. Accustomed to being the first and only baby in the family, he has graciously moved aside for a human toddler now, but due to his high energy level, a more stimulating environment for him is preferable. King gets along with most all dogs he meets, and shared his house with a cat as well. He loves car rides and long walks, but does NOT like water...therefore baths are not his passion! For the last year, he has walked alongside his human sibling's stroller off leash. He is treat motivated and eager to learn more new things. He knows Sit, Down, Stay, Paw and Other Paw. He has great eye contact but can be easily distracted if not properly engaged. King would do best in a home with an active and athletic family who will take him on hikes and out to public establishments where he can meet the people he loves so much. King already does great as a single dog, but in the right environment would also do well with another dog. More than one other dog may be too distracting and overwhelming for him. King has been neutered since he was 2 yrs old, and comes with all of his vaccinations and rabies up to date. He is totally house trained and is accustomed to having free roam of his home while his family is out. He has never been crated. Due to his husky fur, he sheds heavily and must be brushed often. A $100 rehoming fee will apply to adopt King. Please fill out an online application at www.4luckydogs.org
