Meet Marley!  Marley is a sweet, loving little mix-breed (we think a beagle/pug mix of some kind!). He is probably 4-6 years old and only weighs about 12lb. His former owners had to let him go and they want him to have the love and companionship he so deeply deserves!  To our knowledge, Marley has never been abused and it shows in his bubbly life-of-the-party personality! There's not a child, adult or dog that he doesn't adore at first sight! He'll run and play, but he's just as happy to sit up and watch the world go by or curl up in your lap and take a nap with you. He's housebroken, and good with kids. We have found that he hasn’t had exposure to cats and chases smaller animals, so no cats please.  He will need some careful and patient training to learn recall and some leash training as well (he was almost never walked, and just had access to a yard). He's up to date on his shots and passed a fecal exam as well as a general exam by our veterinarian. He recently completed treatment for fleas and irritating ear infections. Under this treatment and medication, he has constantly improved every day. He is fundamentally healthy!  He’s a quiet dog and doesn't bark or howl excessively.  However, he has some anxiety due to being left alone for long periods, and the beagle in him does come out when he is lonely!  He will need care and understanding in finding out his new owners will not leave him alone and scared!  Far from being an outdoor dog, we think Marley will cuddle up quietly on a bed or sofa and fall asleep in your arms!  I recommend this dog to someone looking for a real companion, full of love and adoration for you!  Marley isn’t aggressive with toys or food either with humans or the dog he is being fostered with. He loves a game of fetch or tug of war with a squeaky toy, and cuddles by burrowing into fluffy bedding, so cute!!  He's going to be a great pet for someone who is looking for a play/cuddle-buddy and who will give him lots of love! He'd love another dog to play with regularly, but will do fine solo as well with trips to the park and maybe even the Dog Bar!  He is up for anything and doesn’t scare easily, making him great for travel and adventures anywhere!  Come meet Marley and adopt your new “fun-sized” best buddy, who will come  neutered, with all shots/vaccines, and is microchipped.
