If interested in finding out more about a dog, you must fill out an application first at www.4luckydogs.org to start our process.*** Hello, My name is Midnight and I was adopted from the Hillsborough County shelter at 3.5 months old. Nobody knows what really happened to me but  at only 9 months old, I was found as a stray again in horrible shape;  emaciated,  filled with worms and parasites and flea-infested with no hair (Demodox (non-contagious to humans)). I was still a happy and go-lucky boy, but a bit more fearful of people this time around. I may have been kept in a crate too small for me most of the time as my ankles/legs were bent a little funny, and I may have had a bit of a stunted growth. After super good food, vitamins, medicine and love and attention from 4 Lucky Dogs, I began to grow bigger and stronger again and now I have gained a lot of confidence and I get to run and play with all the Big BoyZ in my foster home, even though I'll always be a small to medium dog!! !  I could be placed in another home with another dog kinda like me, who would like to play with me! That would be fun! But too many dogs may be overwhelming for me and I may not pay attention and mind my manners. I still have so much to learn. Because I got a late start in life, I am still in the chewing and "running off with your shoe" stage so a home with the type of patience for a younger puppy is a must. I am completely housebroken and crate trained, but by myself, I require a lot of attention as I am so smart and my mind is always working.  I also love toys and car rides, but I would have to learn how to interact with cats.  Because I had Demodox, I need to have 2 negative skin scrapings before my final adoption. I have already had one, and  am cleared to go into a foster to adopt home until my second visit to the vet in the next 30 days.  I come microchipped, neutered and up to date on all shots/vaccines. My adoption fee is $300.
