Taco is an approximately 1.5-2 yr old very happy, little low-rider dog! He is probably a mixture of Jack Russell terrier and Beagle. He was running as a stray on the loose with his Husky pal, but when caught and brought to the local shelter, his people only wanted to claim the Husky back. 4 Lucky Dogs broke him out of the shelter, got him settled in a foster home, and now he is ready to find his forever family.

Taco is a very calm, relaxed, and quiet dog. Taco lays or sits contently waiting for his people’s next move. For example, during dinner he will stretch out near the table while the humans eat but he will not beg.

Being around people is Taco’s main goal. He will follow anyone around in the house. Or, he continually checks on the ones sitting watching TV sometimes jumping in a lap because he sees an occasion to cuddle.

Walking is also one of Taco’s favorite activities. He has short legs, but you would never know it as much as he likes to be on the go. He walks extremely well on a leash going straight ahead happily thinking “I am going somewhere” but then he is just as extremely excited when he sees the house he knows to return to. He makes walking very pleasant for his foster mom and has gladly walked up to 45 minutes at a time. She highly recommends someone looking to adopt Taco who likes to walk as much as he does.

He is very smart!!! In the first few days at his foster home, he learned the doggie door out and in, where his food/water bowls were, where to greet family members when they arrive home, the word "NO", etc. Taco also likes sunbathing and rolling in the grass doing typical fun “dog” activities.

Be on the lookout for a kiss whenever you get close to Taco. He just feels the need to tell you how much he loves people. He will also try to get your attention by laying on his back and putting his paws in the air wanting to be petted. You can’t resist petting him and then you will find yourself spending time with each other, not realizing how many minutes have passed.

The most noticeable part is his adorable face. People that have met him keep saying over and over how cute he is. His tail does not stop wagging when he is moving around the house or watching you because he appreciates life. For example, his foster family gave Taco doggie ice cream and he wagged his tail the entire time licking it.

Taco would be fine as an only dog since it is most important to him to be where his people are located. However, he does get along with other dogs as well so a house with another small dog would work out too. Taco's adoption fee is $300 and includes, all vaccines, rabies, microchip and neuter.
