Elvis is a one-year old male pug mix. He is happy, easygoing, and loves attention. The ideal situation for Elvis is to be in a house where he is the only dog so he can receive all the attention from his forever family. He gets along with other dogs well so a house with one other small dog would be considered. Being around people is Elvis’ main goal. He will follow family members around the house and the minute they sit down he is right there next to them to cuddle or crawl on top of a lap. If someone is sitting in a chair where there is not room for him (like one in front of a computer), he will lay at the person’s feet just to be near him/her. And if the humans are busy, Elvis sits patiently staring at them waiting for their next move.

The most noticeable part about Elvis is his adorable face and his expressions. People that have seen him comment “ah how cute”. The foster family noticed that Elvis’s tail wags a lot. They realize it is because how much he appreciates his new life being in a house with a yard, and his opportunity to be a free dog with people caring about him.

Elvis is very smart! In the first few days at his foster home, he learned the doggie door out and in, where his food/water bowls were, where to greet family members when they arrive home, and the word “no”, etc. Elvis is crate-trained and sleeps soundly in it each night for seven hours without making a noise. Then in the morning when the crate door opens Elvis lays there wagging his tail with the look of “oh is it time to get up?”.

Elvis loves playing with toys especially soft squeaky ones. He is amazed at the sound that toys make so likes to see what else he can do when he bites down on the toy again. He also likes getting fresh air in the outdoors and doing typical fun dog activities like walking and sunbathing.

Be on the lookout for a kiss whenever you get close to him. He just feels the need to tell you how much he loves you. He will also try to get your attention by laying on his side and putting his paws toward you wanting to be petted or picked up. It is hard to resist and then you find yourself happily spending time with each other.  Elvis' adoption fee is $300 and he comes microchipped, neutered and up to date on all shots/vaccines
