Miss Zena is a sweet and active puppy.  She’s a talker and she’ll let you know when it’s time to eat, when it’s time to walk, and when you haven’t yet given her enough hello hugs upon coming home to her.  She is socialized with other dogs and loves to play.  If her new home has a dog, it will need to be one that can tolerate a puppy and teach her play limits.  She is socialized to children and loves hanging out with them.  She is still learning her puppy manners, so consistent enforcement of a schedule and behavior expectations are needed as she matures.  She is VERY smart, so if you don’t give her rules and a schedule she will make up her own.  She loves chasing bugs and can self-entertain while doing this until there are no more bugs left to chase, so she will do best in a home with a good sized fenced-in yard to pursue her passion.  Zena is not scared of water and will splash around on a shallow step of a pool, but prefers to be a lifeguard of those in the pool. While she doesn't love to, she can swim, so if there is a pool she must be trained on how to swim out if she falls in. The flip side of this active puppy is that she LOVES affection.  If you give her this, her loving personality shines and she will reward you with absolute devotion and the sweetest of snuggles.  And, finally, a warning.  Everyone who meets Zena falls in love with her.
