4 Lucky Dogs is not a shelter or facility where dogs can be viewed, as all of our rescue dogs are in loving foster homes throughout Florida. We do not adopt outside of the State of FL at this time. If interested in finding out more about one of our dogs, please fill out an application at www.4luckydogs.org, and you will be contacted by phone if you are a fit.   Hank is a two year old active chihuahua mix who was found as a stray. No one claimed him from the shelter, so he was completely vetted, neutered and microchipped with all shots. He weighs about 15lbs and is completely house broken and crate trained. Hank is not a barker. Hank has not met a person that he does not like! He is always excited to meet new friends and did very well with 2 older children he was introduced to, ages 9 and 14. He was also around cats for a couple of days and was fine with them. Some of the dogs that he meets while walking have a calm meet and greet while with others there is more barking and lunging... typical of a small dog who thinks he is not!! Hank has lots of energy and lives to play. Give him a squeaky toy and he loves it! He also loves long walks, staying active and has no idea what personal space is! We are working on learning some basic commands. Our favorites are "wait" and "off". We are also learning to walk on a leash like a gentleman. Hank is very smart, learns quickly but also has to be reminded often. He loves a good routine!
