4 Lucky Dogs is not a shelter or facility where dogs can be viewed, as all of our rescue dogs are in loving foster homes throughout Florida. We do not usually adopt outside of the state of FL. If interested in finding out more about one of our dogs, please fill out an application at www.4luckydogs.org, and you will be contacted by phone if you are a fit.  Lobo  is a minature poodle-chihuahua mix. He weighs 11.5 lbs and is approximately 6 years old (best estimate).  Lobo  was surrendered to the local shelter, along with several other dogs, suffering from various degrees of medical neglect. We have treated  Lobo  at our veterinarian, and he is now ready to find his forever home.  Lobo  has incredibly soft fur and reminds us of a baby werewolf; hence, the name  Lobo  (Spanish for "wolf"). This little guy is quiet and reserved. He takes some time to warm up to new people, so a calm home with no children would be best for him. He loves to be near his person, so someone who is retired or works from home would be ideal. He can be left alone for several hours, but does not do well in a crate (he gets stressed when confined).  Lobo  does get along with the other small dogs in his foster home but does want to be your "number one" when it comes to lap space.  Lobo 's f oster parents have been helping him build his confidence and they are working on housetraining him (he wears a belly band overnight, just in case he has an accident).   We are so relieved that  Lobo  is now a 4 Lucky Dog, so that he can learn what it means to be a cherished member of the family.
