Olivia is a very sweet affectionate approximately 4-5 year old girl. Who says good things come in small packages. Olivia arrived in rescue weighing in at 108#, it was reported she had a false pregnancy and looked as if she had milk. We did confirm she was not pregnant at the time of intake. She is currently a healthier weight at 95# but still has some weight to lose.

She is a people lover and loves attention, the more of it the better.  She walks well on a leash and loves  car rides. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers the attention of her person and we would love for her to have her own person at all times.  She loves playing with toys and balls.

Olivia is a counter surfer so be mindful of that steak or pork chop you walk away from. She will bark to let you know someone is outside or at your door. Does not like to be left alone for long periods of time therefore, we prefer a home where owner works remote or can take her to work.  She is very well behaved and just very happy just sleeping under your desk or a counter while you work. She has not been tested with cats or children so a home with older, respectable kids required.  Like many dogs, She gets anxious during thunderstorms and most likely fireworks. Any new home will need to ensure she is in a safe space during these times. Bernese have long, thick coats and this will require some maintenance. She does well during bath time but I'm sure its because she is getting all of the attention at that moment.

She is to be an indoor dog only, she was not a working dog in her past and loves attention too much to be considered an outdoor dog. Plus, Florida is too hot to allow a bernese to remain outdoors too long. 

Olivia is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also housebroken however, please keep in mind that she may have an accident or two until she learns her new routine.
