**We are a foster-based rescue with no shelter or facility to view our dogs, and our address is a mailing address only. Please be patient as we are an all-volunteer rescue and our rescue dogs are in various loving foster homes throughout West-Central Florida. As a general rule we try to limit our adoptions to within the state of FL. SPECIAL NEEDS/Sight Impaired!!
Zurich is one of three Bernese Mountain Dog puppies that is flourishing in her foster home. She has been diagnosed as clinically blind but her foster parents have noticed that she can see some movement and shadows. She gets around much better than her other blind brother. Her sight impairment has not slowed her down at all. She is quite independent and is doing steps without any issues. Her house training is going well. She rarely has accidents in her crate. She loves to play with her siblings but would probably do best in a home where she is the only dog or in a home with one other young playful dog as she truly loves as much attention as she can get from her people. She would do really well in a home where her adoptive parents work from home or have someone home with her most of the day. We are not sure how she would do with young children since she is sight impaired and will be a large dog, so no young children please as we don’t wish to cause her any anxiety. She is sweet and loving and will be a wonderful companion to her family. She deserves all the love and her adoptive family will be so lucky to have her. Her foster family has fallen in love with her and would love to be able to keep in touch with her new family so that the other two pups can stay in touch.
***The adoption fee for this dog is $400.00 and he/she will come microchipped, neutered/spayed, up to date on all necessary vaccines/rabies, heartworm tested and dewormed .
