Sometimes it's just meant to be. Ginger's mom, Anne, had been looking for the perfect dog to add to her family that would like an older dog and her 3 cats. We got Lacey as an owner surrender last week who is timid and was cat tested. She lived with a senior lab in her former home and was so gentle with all of the dogs in her foster home. We just had a feeling that Lacey was the lucky dog Anne and her family was looking for. Look at these beautiful girls!!! Happy Valentines Day Ginger and Lacey!
Our kind and gentle soul Minnie Pearl went to her forever home today. We will miss her so much but are so happy with the family she chose! I can now say that I fostered the perfect dog! Thank you

And thank you Margaret Swick Wallace Baker , for taking Minnie when she was going to be abandoned and ensuring she was with rescue. For my husband, who spends his days with our dogs, we were so lucky to meet her, know her and help her on her journey. Happy tails Minnie Pearl!!  Thank you to the Burgess family for loving and adopting sweet Marley! Marley now has kids of his very own to play with. Happy life Marley!!! 4LD would like to thank John Rockne for becoming a foster for us and saving poor Marley! John's daughter and his son, welcomed Marley into their home and gave him love and attention until he found his perfect forever home! Poor Marley was found tied to a tow chain when he came into the shelter, and when you see the pics of his matted fur, you will see why he was named Marley!! John has never fostered before and did a FANTASTIC job his first time around. Marley was happy and totally depressurized when he went to his forever home! We can't wait to work with John and his son and daughter again! Thank you John!
 Jill went to her adoptive home last weekend and has charmed the pants off everyone. We are so happy for Jill. Happy life sweet girl!!  A Christmas Miracle for Kayden! From the moment Jeannie Altman saw Kayden and his story she knew he was the one for her! As a FB friend of Kayden's foster family long before Kayden came along, they have exchanged pleasantries for years through the common pages of various dog websites and watched each others' dogs and families change and grow. Jeannie and her family are offering their hearts and homes to little Kayden for the rest of his life. Kayden has a 9-yr old BMC brothe r waiting for him who lost his companion last year. Kayden is sure to brighten his days! Kayden's new name will be Nikko (Kayden) due to Jeannie's daughter having such a similar name of Kaylin.
One Week Later... Nikko is doing great. Sorry I have not posted progress in a few days I have been very sick. He has been snuggled up at my side taking great care of me.
He loves his big brother and they get along and go everywhere together. They love car rides and running around in the back yard.
I am so proud of his progress and how far he has come in just 1 week. No accidents, no fighting, no food aggression. Just love and playing for this happy baby. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
